Security Alert
On 10 October 2019 at about 19:55 the camera cable at the post at corner of Widow Bird and Finch was cut.
Video footage shows two males (early 20’s) approaching the area, unfortunately it is only a 2-3 second clip without facials.
The guards have a suspicion they drive a white Audi (model & registration unknown) and have an access tag. Drivers window not working, driver opens door to activate tag.
There is further video footage of the vehicle entering the Francolins and the Plovers and standing off in Finch close earlier in the evening.
The driver of the white Audi was arrested on Monday 21 Oct at 15:00 outside Soutpansberg Pick ‘n Pay. This was a result of our active community involvement.
A Second incident took place on the evening of 24 October 2019 around 19:00.
A vehicle attempted to gain access to the North Gate with a deactivated tag. When the guard told the driver to come to the visitor entrance, he reversed and sped off.
Vehicle description: White Audi Q5, reg number YFR 831 GP. We suspect this is related to the previous incident. The vehicle belongs to AVIS (Hired vehicle)
We urge for all to be on the lookout for this vehicle.
The matter will be investigated, as soon as we have more information it will be communicated.
